Several weeks ago I was at a dive bar. A true dive bar, where I thought I should just order a beer, and not the cocktail that I wanted. After a beer, my friend got me the cocktail that I had originally desired, as I was too timid to ask the bartender for something I was sure they wouldn’t serve. My drink came to me in a chilled, yes a chilled martini glass. I could not help but think better of this dive bar, than I originally had.

And the experience gave me a splendid idea: chill your martini (and other) glasses in the freezer! Turns out there is nothing better than a chilled drink, in a chilled glass. And if it’s really hot in your apartment, you’ll see wisps of vapor from the glass as you’re pouring! Priceless!
