New Moon & Solstice Mixtape!

Back from the Promised Land, it took me a week to get back to NYC time! All last week I was going to bed at 9:30 pm as I was stuck on Israeli time as that was late there. My trip was more relaxing, amazing, as well as more of a wake-up call in regards to certain family matters than I expected. How could one expect a trip taken on an eclipse and when Venus was retrograding over the Sun to be uneventful!?! Needless to say, I can completely recommend Petra, Jordan, the Dead Sea, and Jerusalem, Israel if you want a trip with adventure! It was amazing and mystical to interact with cities, both living and dead, over 2,000 years old. Makes New York City, seem, well, new. Blissfully, I floated in the Dead Sea (and if you know how I feel about swimming, you’ll know that is a miracle!), and relaxed in an amazing spa of water pools! Which was good, because if you think you’re in good shape, just take a trip to Jordan, you’ll realize you’re not! I don’t think I’ve had so much exercise in a long time and I work-out three times a week. In Jerusalem, the airwaves felt extremely clear, and I had these dreams where I had these in depth soul-to-soul conversations with people I haven’t spoken with in a while!

Astrologically, the Lunar eclipse to the latest New Moon this past Tuesday, was a period of reflection and introspection on what issues this Venus Retrograde has brought to you. Many have been confronted with issues of loss and recovering from loss that have surfaced, but other issues in the realm of weak spots in relationships have been brought to the forefront of ones’ mind for reintegration.

This New Moon, still with Venus Retrograde, has Sun/Moon Square Mars in Virgo, after it’s completed it’s full cycle from Shadow to Shadow, which may in fact bring up a few issues from the Winter/Spring that still need final completion. Retrograding Venus is Square Neptune and Chiron indicating the need for Spiritual Healing in relationships, and trying to work on karmic issues that have come to the forefront, especially as Sun/Moon is loosely opposite Pluto, indicating one might need to confront something or someone who seems to have more power over you than they (or it) should!

The Solstice brings similar themes for the next three months, as the longest day of the year clocked in on Wednesday, officially at 7:10 pm EDT. The Sun/Pluto opposition is slightly more intense, and we are still confronted with Spiritual wounds that are in need of healing, but with the Sun officially in Cancer, it Trines Neptune and Chiron which should give us the light to find out way out of the messes we’ve gotten ourselves into.

As we head off into the sunniest party of the year, let’s listen to some soulful, mystical music, with the Solstice Mixtape, (available on Spotify here!).
